The free-wheeling audio accident of Anthony Mangicapra's Hoor-paar-Kraat project has definitely ripened in its old age. What was once a shadowy collective, and at a time nomadic in nature, has planted its roots in Brooklyn, NY for the last greater part of our rotting century.
This entity's latest work, Ma'Atu, captures "two side long journeys through the Meon." Filled to the brim with disfigured sound tropes and metallic ululating, placing the listener in front of an eternal funhouse mirror. I've nailed my eyelids to the ceiling, feels like I'm standing but I'm kneeling.
