Adapta - Memory Program CS

$8.00

Description

Steve Conner (aka Adapta and one-half of the Bitstream duo) recently released Memory Program for Schematic that takes us through a proverbial whirlwind of electrical activity—its cosmic dust, technoid clusters, and rampant bass and beats are submerged in thick swells of modular synths and scribbled rhythms. The amount of minimized data processing seems endless and relentless as broken electro shards are split into meandering tentacles. Creative glitch and downtrodden layers find crisp and punchy grooves (“Cassette King” and “Lock Maze”) as psychedelic electronics and rapid fire zips and zaps punctuate “84 Dream” and closing track “Cousin Bruce.” These are extraterrestrial rhythms finding their way through dimly lit alleys in the dead of night. Like a lost combination between Japanese Telecom, The Exaltics, and Anthony Rother, yet Adapta’s style and range is consistently flexible. Bouncing back and forth between chilled blips and bleeps (ref. “Who Am I” and “Autonomic Interlude”) to frenetic abstracts like “Reformer,” and turbulent acid techno like “Zona March,” Memory Program is a smorgasbord of sonic delights and a deep footprint in the braindance and downtempo electro environment
