Your Week In Sweat: C.O.A.S.T., La Alzada, Darsombra (MD) & Holly Hunt

Welcome back to Your Week In Sweat! Tonight and every Tuesday, you’re invited to join Emerge Miami for their meeting at 7pm. Friday night we host hip hop artists C.O.A.S.T., Moth & Black Ant. 6:30-9pm, no cover, all-ages show.

Saturday is International Women’s Day, and the South FL IWW (Industrial Workers of the World), and MAS (Miami Autonomy and Solidarity) invite you to share an afternoon with a member of La Alzada, an anarcha-feminist organization from Chile. We will be discussing their work, their liberatory ideas, and how these could function in Miami. This free event starts at 3pm and will be over by 5.

Right after that we have an exciting line up with Maryland’s Darsombra and Miami’s Holly Hunt taking the Sweat stage! Rick Smith’s Alternative MIA is presenting this show, and here’s what he has to say:

“Darsombra is Brian from Meatjack’s current project. The duo plays heavy, ambient, meditative pieces… very impressive live act I was lucky to witness on a Torche tour back in 2007, very psyched to finally have them down in South Florida!!”

7-9pm, all-ages, suggested donation for the touring band.
