Halloween this year is on a Sunday, so you know what that means – most of the good parties will be on Saturday night!
That said, may we present to you GATSBY GONE GOTH – SuperMarket Creative‘s annual Halloween bash and a tribute to all things ’20s with a dark twist. Last year their party was the ’70s-themed “Other Hollywood” (think Boogie Nights…) party at Awarehouse and it was definitely a night to remember.
This year it’s at the Raleigh Hotel (1775 Collins Ave.) and performing live in the ballroom will be sexy Toronto synth-pop trio PARALLELS! They’ve been featured on Kitsune comps, voted “Best Electronic Act” by Now Magazine (Toronto’s New Times) and are recommended if you like Glass Candy, Giorgio Moroder, Crystal Castles (in fact member Cameron Findlay was CC’s original drummer). Check out their video below for “Ultralight” off their latest album Visionaries:
Also performing will be Miami’s own PANIC BOMBER (who never fails to entertain and will be playing with his full horn section) along with DJs TOMMY GUNN + DEEJAY SMEEJAY. In the penthouse there’s even more going on with DJ sets by TROY KURTZ, MISTER DRAKE and ESS&EMM.
Not only that but SuperMarket’s infamous “vignette” will be returning – local stylist Danny Santiago is recreating Gatsby’s living room and photog extraordinaire Stian Roenning will be on hand all night capturing memories of our own roaring ’20s.
Advance tickets for the ballroom are available here for $20 (though we recommend you might as well just pay the extra $5 and get access to the penthouse too). There’s free Heineken from 9-10 and it’s just $5 for the rest of the night. Of course all costumes are welcome and it’s going to be an all-around excellent party so we hope you’ll join us!
