SEU JORGE Ticket Giveaway

Thanks to the Rhythm Foundation, one lucky Sweat blog reader will win a pair of tickets to Friday night’s show with SEU JORGE AND ALMAZ at the Fillmore!

You know the drill – comment below (ONE entry per person, dupes will be deleted) and we’ll select a winner at random.  The deadline to enter is Thursday, July 22nd at noon and we’ll announce the winner right here on the blog.

Seu Jorge will be playing this show with his new band Almaz, which is three musicians from “manguebeat” pioneer Brazilian rockers Nacao Zumbi.  The guys came together to work on a soundtrack for a Walter Salles film and had such a great time together they made a band. Their new self-titled CD (released next week and available at Sweat) is the fruit of the collaboration – a psychedelic funk-filled musical journey.
