Hey Sweaters, whether you like to work with your hands or dig into a good book, there’s something for you tonight!
We don’t have a fancy graphic or anything yet but tonight will be the first night of Sweat’s open crafting sessions! Knitting instructor extraordinaire Renee will lead the way – basically if you can tie your shoe she can teach you how to purl with the best of ’em, and she’ll have some supplies for sale if you happen to need a needle. Feel free to bring anything else you might want to work on too – sketchbooks, jewelry making, anything goes! I do cross-stitch and embroidery myself and brought a few how-to books along for that.
We’re trying it out every Tuesday night except for second Tuesdays (because that’s Casa De Ha-Ha of course!) from 7pm to 9 or 10.
Also tonight is the monthly meeting of the Black Umbrella Book Club at AE District! They’ve been reading “Lark And Termite” by Jayne Anne Phillips so come out for literary discussion, food from Pasha’s and Bustelo galore. Click the flier below to join the BUBC group on Facebook.
