    Our Vegan Smores Get “Unwrapped”

    posted by Lolo

More great press!  The amazing Sweet & Sara vegan marshmallow smores that we carry were recently featured on the Food Network’s hit series “Unwrapped”.  For reasons we can only guess are uptight and corporate, they don’t mention they are vegan but rest assured that they are.

Sweat is currently the ONLY place in South Florida to get these so stop by soon and try some for yourself!

    Veggie Love

    posted by Lolo

Some of you may know that in addition to running Sweat and promoting music-y things, I’m also a proud advocate for not eating meat.  This month marks a personal milestone for me in that it’s been 15 years since I decided to give up the farm (animals) and instead choose the path of compassion and amazing veggie food.

As of last month I have a new regular column over at the New Times’ Short Order food blog called “Meatless In Miami”.  Check out my previous posts, and when a new one pops up I’ll link it on the Sweat page too.

Meatless In Miami: Lauren Reskin Talks Veggies
Meatless In Miami: Of Meat and Myth
Meatless In Miami: The (Next) Best Things
Meatless In Miami: Vegan on the Down-Low

Also, you can follow my veg-related musings on my Twitter feed – twitter.com/meatlessinmiami

If you have any questions I am always happy to answer them.  Viva la veg!

    Shameless Self-Promotion

    posted by Andrew

In addition to writing for the Sweat blog, I also freelance as a TV producer for ArtStreet, a show on WLRN-TV channel 17. I recently produced a segment about the local music Impresarios over at Honor Roll Music. It’s a seven minute story about the birth of their studio space and company and Lolo gets a fierce shout out about 5 minutes in (unprompted, I swear). Bonus cameos: Devin Smith, Pure Imagination’s Matt Gajewski and Geneva Harrison.
