Okay well, not just records, there are some CDs, some new headphone colors and some DVDs in the mix!
Pretty…Only $50 a pop at Sweat (they’re $60 at most stores online)
After the jump, check out an alphabetical list of just some of the new stuff and restocks we got in this week. Remember, we do special orders at no extra charge so email us if there’s something you want! (Record nerd note – the formats below aren’t exact, many of the records below are double or even triple LPs.)
After being extremely pleased with the samples we tested, we are now carrying HURRAW! lip balms at Sweat! Hurraw’s balms are vegan, raw, organic AND fair-trade – in other words, they take major pride in their product. From their site:
“Super smooth, not draggy, not sticky, not sweet, not too glossy, not too smelly, never grainy, long lasting; plus, it had to hold up to being in a back jeans pocket all day without melting! It took us several obsessed years to formulate Hurraw! Balm and put it through all the rigors. We love it, use it, and hope you do too!”
The tubes are $3.50 a pop at Sweat, a total bargain! We’ve got Vanilla Bean, Orange, Coconut, Mint and Chocolate in stock right now, try one today.
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and what better way to add “oomph” to your gift or to tell a friend how much they mean to you than with something you made with your own two hands! Join us tomorrow night as we’ll be folding hearts, love notes and perhaps a naughty project or two… 8pm, $5 materials fee.
Btw, Sweat does have lots of other great V-Day gifts like our Urbanears Headphones, boxes of vegan marshmallows, a beautiful art book, your beloved’s favorite band on vinyl… There’s also Flowering Tea Service for two and our yummy cupcakes so have your first date all over again and bring your boo by Sweat!
Fellow LP-lovers, rejoice! Sweat is bringing in vinyl like it’s going out of style (except it isn’t). Here’s a huge list of just SOME of the titles we’ve gotten in lately, after the jump.
More great press! The amazing Sweet & Sara vegan marshmallow smores that we carry were recently featured on the Food Network’s hit series “Unwrapped”. For reasons we can only guess are uptight and corporate, they don’t mention they are vegan but rest assured that they are.
Sweat is currently the ONLY place in South Florida to get these so stop by soon and try some for yourself!
The other night Sweat Records was featured on PBS’ esteemed Nightly Business Report show in a piece about the resurgence of vinyl! We’re beyond happy to be representing for records and if you haven’t been by the shop lately, we’ve expanded our new LP section by about double over the last month.
Watch the video below and come by Sweat to peruse all the vinyl goodies for yourself!
In 2010 we plan to bring a LOT of new merch and music items into Sweat, so with that comes the return of THIS JUST IN!
This week we’re proud to bring in the enticingly monochromatic Urbanears Plattan Headphones! These smart Swedish-designed ‘phones are “the perfect classic headphone” and come in a range colors with right-on features like a microphone compatible with iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia and most devices, a 4-ft. fabric-covered cord to prevent tangles and hinge construction for easy storage. Did we mention they sound great too?
AND, they’ve also got a nifty “Zound Plug” on the earphone allowing a friend to plug in and share your tunes!
We’ve got these five colors in stock with more on the way (naturally we’re a little partial to the purple). Two sizes are shown below, the Plattans are the larger ones:
Also just in, the last batch of copies of the Blakroc CD featuring the track “Coochie” with Ludacris. For legal reasons it won’t be featured on the second pressing so come by Sweat to get the full version while you can!
Dubstep seems to be in everyone’s heads these days, and it’s no different here at Sweat Records. Here’s an update of some great stuff we carry.
There’s the new Miami Dubstep shirts designed by Adam “Munkz” Pascale. They’re only $15 and they look like this:
Be sure to check out the Soul Jazz Records “Singles 2008-2009″ CD featuring cuts by Ramadanman, Kode9, Digital Mystikz and more. We also have some stellar 12″ vinyl releases from Basshead including 12th Planet ft. Emu “Control (Skreamix)” + Otto von Schirach’s “Bass Low.”
Gracing the purpled-out front cover of this month’s XLR8R is the newly crowned Bass King, Joker, who came to Get Low last month and blew our minds.
It’s a perfect night to visit Sweat before heading to The Vagabond for Miami’s best monthly dubstep party, Get Low.
