Carsharing has arrived in Miami! We’re sure you’ve seen their zippy fleet of Smart Cars around town. Use your smartphone to find the nearest car, swipe your card, and get where you need to be. It’s simple, easy, saves money, and is good for the environment, what’s not to love? Website: miami.car2go.com
1930s art deco gem the Indian Creek Hotel was reinvented this year as Freehand Miami! It’s now the coolest hostel in town (private rooms are available too) with a chill lobby, a garden patio with a pool, bocce and ping pong, AND one of Miami’s best bars – The Broken Shaker – in the back. Website: thefreehand.com
This homegrown business is a true pioneer in the field of digital printing and has been for over 18 years! CrossFit305 was one of the first gyms in South Florida to be an official CrossFit affiliate. Their facility is right around the corner from Sweat and offers a variety of fitness-enhancing classes, as well as competitions, nutrition programs and more. Lime Fresh Mexican is a growing chain of “fast” food restaurants that started right on Miami Beach. They use fresh ingredients and have veggie, low-carb and low-fat options. We’re huge fans of their salsa bar and smorgasbord of hot sauces! They have locations ALL over South Florida and are crawling up the east coast… Website: limefreshmexicangrill.com
Pretty self-explanatory! Yes, MiamiRankings.com is a food blog, the full name of which is Miami’s Restaurant Power Rankings. It’s a real-time list of what restaurants are making waves locally. With Miami’s food scene exploding, this is a great site to bookmark if you’re interested in exploring new places to eat.
KIND bars are a legitimately healthy, easy, and delicious snack. They use only real, simple ingredients and have won awards for their treats. Beyond the bars, KIND live up to their name through their KIND Movement, which has inspired hundreds of thousands of unexpected acts of kindness around the world. They’ll be giving out tons of samples at Sweatstock 2013! Website: KINDsnacks.com
100% agave tequila made the old-fashioned way in Mexico! Attendees 21 and up can sample some this Sweatstock. Website: eljimador.com
While they (unfortunately) won’t be serving up eats at the event, Blue Collar supports Sweatstock! If you haven’t been, they’re a FANTASTIC restaurant on Biscayne and 67th. They serve up contemporary American food with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, great brunch too! Highly recommended. Website: bluecollarmiami.com
