ICA Miami welcomes Ecuadorian-Lithuanian producer, DJ, and cultural activist RIOBAMBA_dj to First Fridays. Riobamba’s rowdy, deeply researched live sets reinforce nightlife’s power as a site of joy and resistance, amplifying connections between YouTube clips, dembow brujería, bodega soundtracks, and noise hyperreality “suped up with a twisted, industrial gnarl” (Complex). Niña, a new Miami-based femme Reggaeton duo featuring Liz Ferrari “Ouch” and Arch bowT “Mariposa,” and Loka are on board for a night of performance and music.
First Fridays is a neighborhood-wide initiative celebrating art and performance in the Miami Design District. Explore ICA Miami’s exhibitions after dark, and enjoy activities for guests of all ages—film screenings, exhibition tours, performances, and more!
Museum guests are encouraged to explore various after-hours activations throughout the Miami Design District, including world-class public art installations by Sol LeWitt, Urs Fischer, and Buckminster Fuller, among others, and a free Performance Series produced by 19-time Grammy© Award-winning producer Emilio Estefan in collaboration with Maestro Eduardo Marturet from The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO).
First Fridays at ICA Miami are free and open to the public, and are presented by the museum’s Innovation Partner, MINI.
