“This tour is really for our core fans. At the end of last year we had made plans to take the year off, but honestly we got bored at home. We just love touring that much,” said front man Tyler Glenn. “We’re going to play songs from all three albums and it will be an entirely new show. We chose smaller clubs and theaters to make it a communal experience for us and the audience.” Neon Trees – comprising Tyler Glenn (lead vocals, keys), Chris Allen (guitars), Branden Campbell (bass), and Elaine Bradley (drums, vocals) – released their third album Pop Psychology on April 22, 2014. The album, recorded in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Los Angeles, CA, and their hometown of Provo, UT with longtime collaborator Tim Pagnotta spawned the RIAA Gold-certified single“Sleeping With A Friend,” which won a BMI Publishing Award in 2014 and charted in the Top 15 of the Billboard Hot 100. Pop Psychology is the follow up to Picture Show, which featured the RIAA double platinum single“Everybody Talks,” which charted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. Neon Trees’ debut album, Habits, was released in 2010 and featured the double platinum smash single “Animal.”

WHO: THE GET UP KIDS
WHAT: The Get Up Kids are a Kansas City-based American rock band that was a major player in the mid-90’s emo scene, otherwise known as the “second wave” of emo music. As they gained prominence, they began touring with bands such as Green Day and Weezer before becoming headliners themselves, eventually embarking on international tours of Japan and Europe. Seven years after what looked to be their final album Guilt Show, with the group disbanding a year later after 10 years of constant touring, The Get Up Kids returned to the studio sparked by a spur-of-the-moment decision to start writing songs together again, made while they were rehearsing to promote the tenth anniversary edition of their breakout album Something to Write Home About. And so, after touring across four continents to sold out crowds too many times to count, after becoming a crucial part of what has been called the “second wave of emo” in the 90’s and influencing a list of bands as long as your arm, after more than15 years, 4 acclaimed studio albums, a collection of rarities, a live record, numerous 7”s and EPs the Kansas City five piece – Matthew Pryor on vocals and guitar, Rob Pope on bass, Jim Suptic on guitars and vocals, James Dewees on keyboards and Ryan Pope on drums – are proving that the final chapter for The Get Up Kids has yet to be written.
Popular singer songwriter for the iconic group the Killers, Brandon Flowers brings his solo act to the intimate Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre Wednesday, August 19th, 2015 / 8PM. Tickets are on sale Friday, April 24th / 10AM.
Brandon Flowers was the most popular singer/songwriters of the new wave revival, which swept through America and England during the early 2000s. As frontman of the Killers, he helped popularize a genre that hadn’t been fashionable for nearly two decades, drawing influence from a number of ’80s synth pop bands — including New Order, Echo & the Bunnymen, and the Psychedelic Furs — while writing the songs that comprised his band’s multi-platinum debut, Hot Fuss. Flowers also proved to be a super-sized media personality, gathering headlines for his clothing and controversial, outspoken opinions. Although the Killers retooled their sound with each album, the group rarely subscribed to convention — and Flowers seemed happy to be the most unconventional of them all. He decided to launch a solo career in 2010 and Flamingo, his first album of solo material, was released that fall.Flowers returned to the Killers for 2012’s Battle Born but resumed his separate solo career in 2015 with The Desired Effect, a record produced by Ariel Rechtshaid.
General Admission tickets for Brandon Flowers are $30.00. They are on sale Friday, April 24th / 10AM at LiveNation.com or charge by phone 800-745-3000 and at the Fillmore Box Office during normal business hours (Mon. – Fri., 11AM – 6PM and during show days). A limited number of VIP Reserved Seat tickets are also available.

Prolific and imaginative jamband Umphrey’s McGee brings its high energy and multi instrumental act to the intimate Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre Saturday, August 22nd, 2015 / 9PM. Tickets are on sale Friday, April 24th / 10AM.“Umphrey’s McGee stand revealed as consummate musical alchemists, deftly reconfiguring sounds from rock’s vast panoply of styles.” Entertainment Weekly.Fans who have followed Umphrey’s McGee for any period of time know that there are only two guarantees: you never know what you’re going to get, and Umphrey’s always delivers. After 17-plus years of performing more than 100 concerts annually, releasing eight studio albums and selling more than 3.5 million tracks online, Umphrey’s McGee might be forgiven if they chose to rest on their laurels. But then that wouldn’t be consistent with the work ethic demonstrated by the band, which consistently attempts to raise the bar, setting and achieving new goals since forming on the Notre Dame campus in South Bend, Indiana, in 1997. After releasing their eighth studio album, Similar Skin, the first for their own indie label, Nothing Too Fancy (N2F) Music , the group continue to push the envelope and test the limits. Their brand-new studio album, The London Session, was a dream come true for the members having been recorded at the legendary Studio Two at historic Abbey Road. The stealth recording session yielded 10 tracks in a single day, proving once again, the prolificUM waits for no one. The clever arrangements, meticulously crafted chordal interplay, and virtuoso instrumentation put Umphrey’s McGee in a category all their own. “Our live show is malleable and every night is its own thing, where you never know where things are going to go,” keyboardist Joel Cummins explains.

After signing with the Wax Trax! label in 1984, they started their first U.S. tour with Ministry. In 1988, Front by Front was released, which included “Headhunter” (with a video by Anton Corbijn), becoming the band’s first club hit, reaching #13 on the US Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart. They were also involved in side projects. Richard 23 played in the Revolting Cocks, and Jean-Luc De Meyer sang for Bigod 20 for their debut single, “The Bog” in 1990.
Tyranny (For You), released in 1991, became the band’s highest charting album, reaching #95 on the Billboard 200. Sony/Epic signed the band and acquired the rights to their back catalog. A broader public was exposed to their music in 1992 in the film Single White Female. The video playing in a key scene is Front 242’s “Rhythm Of Time”, from Tyranny (For You). Front 242 released two albums in 1993 on Epic’s sub-label RRE and performed on the main stage of the 1993 Lollapalooza tour. In the 2000s, they made occasional appearances in Latin America and Europe, even being rejoined by Dirk Bergen for a sold out reunion concert under the original lineup of Bresanutti, Bergen, Codenys and De Meyer. The band re-released its entire backcatalogue via Alpha Matrix.

Autechre are an English electronic music group consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth, both natives of Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Formed in 1987, the duo are one of the most prominent acts signed with Warp Records, a label known for its pioneering electronic music and through which all Autechre albums have been released. While most associated with IDM (intelligent dance music), Booth and Brown are ambivalent in relating their sound to established genres. Their music has exhibited a gradual shift in aesthetic throughout their career, from their earlier work with clear roots in techno, electro and hip hop to later albums that are often considered more experimental in nature, featuring complex patterns of rhythm and subdued melodies. Oversteps, their most recent album, was released on February 22nd 2010.
Autechre have also recorded under various pseudonyms. One of the duo\’s earliest recordings was a 12\” under the alias Lego Feet, released in 1991 on Skam Records. The majority of releases by the mysterious \”umbrella project\” Gescom, most of them on Skam, have been attributed to Booth and Brown, among other artists.
Popular Indie Band Walk The Moon comes to the intimate Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre Tuesday, Octobere 13th, 2015 / 8PM. Tickets are on sale Friday, May 15th / Noon. In concert, it’s clear that Walk The Moon’s live show is not a spectator sport. Instead, it’s an interactive celebration of life and love, a communal commitment to joy and living in the moment. Onstage, Petricca leads audiences in a mass exorcism of the things that bring them down, casting out the demons of doubt and insecurity with hands raised to the sky. An ode to freeing yourself from the shackles of self-consciousness and embracing the present, it’s already a live favorite, with a sing-along chorus that works audiences up into a frenzy. The album is filled with raw vocal performances, heavy rock riffs, new wave quirks, and stylish percussion which make for a futuristic marriage with lyrical themes of self-empowerment, growth, and survival. “What we’ve ended up with is a bunch of really committed, confident shouts into the darkness,” says Petricca.
