Hailing from the sandstone bedrock that is Sydney, this duo is the fresh face Australia’s beloved ‘Sweat it Out’ & voice of the ADD generation.

Released in Mid November 2011, their debut 4 track EP ’7 Dollar Bill’ caused quite a stir; Switch, Bag Raiders, Sinden, Boys Noize & countless others, all on board for this new sound.

2012 has seen an onslaught of epic remix’s from the pair. Most notably their mix of Major Lazer’s ‘Get Free’. Gaining the attention of Tiga, Flosstradamus, Nero & Diplo himself, their future bass rework, scored them official 12″ Vinyl release on Mad Decent/Downtown.

With the who’s who of EDM dropping their tunes on BBC Radio 1 & every major festival around the globe, don’t be surprised if you see the WSN boys jet setting across the globe in the coming months.

Currently touring Aus/New Zealand, an official remix on the way for Mark Foster, Kimbra & A-Trak & their 2nd EP approaching completion, the ball is well and truly in motion for Australia’s next big export.

    BANKS
    9/21/14
    8pm
    Grand Central

Some things don’t need to be defined. Some aren’t meant to be in a box, held in proverbial captivity. They inherently defy a need for classification. BANKS makes music. Great music. Why not just stop there? Allow her to be a siren for a generation, beckoning for self-discovery. She begs for it. Conveying her sound seems almost unfair. It’s built on a simple notion of emotion. Perhaps that explains the near explosion of eager fans frantic to share their own discovery, ultimately propelling this songstress’ art to the top of Hypem charts. A toy keyboard is all it took to awaken the inevitable. That evolved into a piano. The notes articulated feelings. Then chords turned to melodies. Heart-piercing lyrics cloaked in lush orchestration. Now BANKS’ EP London applauds her arrival. The four songs introduce this budding self-taught songstress, one whose voice echoes a generation. She writes with a restless urgency, lyrically candid yet relatable, weaving vivid imagery into pop-skewed lullabies as she lures with every note, every chord, every breath. A hypnotic blend of beats, pianos, echoes and an addictive vocal presence, BANKS slips in and out of genres with an ease so effortless, it once again serves as a reminder to leave your tags behind. Hip-hop, Pop, R&B, Alternative, Electronic… they all live in this very place. And she can be any or all. Or none. A singer. A poet. A pianist. A narrator. An artist.

We welcome BONOBO back to Grand Central.

Simon Green, AKA Bonobo, is an artist very much at the peak of his powers. His 2013 album ‘The North Borders’ was the high watermark of his career to date: a masterful record, marrying Green’s inimitable melodic genius to cutting edge electronics, bass and drums.

An artist that constantly pushes himself outside of his musical comfort zone, Bonobo’s ranging personal tastes and regularly expanding range of synthesizers and instruments continue to take his productions to new levels. This outlook has earned him a reputation as one of the most pioneering figures in electronic music, in both his solo DJ sets and 12-piece live band shows.

Kastle’s forward-thinking music results from his long-time love of hip-hop and R&B, fused with the magnetizing effect that dubstep, garage and bass-heavy music has had on him. Last year, his track “Stay Forever” from the eponymous EP reached the iTunes Top 10 Best Electronic Songs of 2012, and he embarked on his highly successful ‘Stay Forever’ tour across North America, and into Australia and NewZealand.
