Your Weekend in Sweat: The Miami Model, Tatsuya Nakatani + Eugene Chadbourne

We have some great events lined up at the shop this weekend! Starting Friday night with a screening of The Miami Model hosted by the FTAA+10 Working Group. The documentary is about the November 2003 Free Trade Area of the Americas summit and the overwhelming police state response to the protests it inspired. Afterwards there will be a discussion on “free trade,” neoliberalism, and the impending Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). It kicks off at 7pm, and there’s no cover. You can RSVP here.

Tigertail has something special lined up for us Saturday afternoon with a free workshop by percussionist TATSUYA NAKATANI and free improvising avant jazz/folk hero EUGENE CHADBOURNE. Read up on them here. The event starts at 2pm, and all-ages are welcome to attend. Later that night you can catch these artists performing at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium.
