The Miami Arts & Entertainment Council is hosting their third annual Paint Me Miami competition!  All Miami artists – art students, up-and-coming artists and art aficionados – are welcome to enter.  The rules:

Paint Me Miami is an open competition where all artists working in two-dimensional painting media are eligible to enter provided they meet the rules. To conform to the spirit of the awards, all work must be original and completed within the last two years and must not have won any previous prize or award in any other art competition. The subject must be inspired by an identifiable scene within the City of Miami boundaries. The size of paintings must be no larger than 30”×40”; oil, pastel, acrylics and water color work is acceptable. The entry fee is $20 and a maximum of three entries per artist is permitted. The deadline for submission is April 15, 2013.

First prize is $2,500, second prize is $1,000, third prize is $500.  Full info at paintmemiami.com, good luck!
