Here’s a little music video for your Monday morning…”Dance Ghost” is the new single by South Florida-born, Brooklyn-based artist Helado Negro.  It was shot entirely in Miami and we’re sure you’ll recognize a lot of the locations…

This is what Roberto (HN) had to say about the video:

“We had a loose story based around the lyrics of Dance Ghost “There’s no one home just the ghosts who dance alone.” The video travels through Miami in this daydream state where you are trailing this character who embodies the idea of transient workers and immigrants who make up the majority of the population in Miami. They are ghosts to maybe most who are usually trying to create the least amount of resistance when trying to survive in the US due to the many instances of inhumane treatment of illegal immigrants in the US. The song may be saturated in ambiguous synth tones, but the reality of living somewhere or being somewhere where they want everything about you but you is what haunts them.”

His new album Invisible Life comes out March 5th and of course we’ll have it at Sweat.
