    More Basel-yness

    by Lolo

Basel week is here!  There are a million things happening but here’s a small run-down of some events we think are worth checking out…

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during the day Flavorpill are sponsoring these neat 1-hour dance parties called LUNCH BREAK, where an awesome DJ plays, you dance/chill for an hour, and get a bag lunch!  RSVP here to join in the free fun.

Wednesday night at The Stage, Woodshed presents MOCHILLA EN MIAMI featuring live performances by Georgia Anne Muldrow, THEESatisfaction and Zynzelay, with a DJ set by Mr. Brown!  Get your tickets here.

Thursday evening our friend Brian Butler presents RAW POWER: Doodles on Walls at 100 NE 38th St. #2 in the Design District.  There’s a reception from 7-11pm with sounds by Benton and Stravinsky, drinks by 42 Below, and food by Shokudo. More info here.

Friday night is our CHROMATICS show at the Gusman.  There is nothing else happening.  (We kid, but really, come!)

Saturday daytime is the NADA POOL PARTY!  They’ve got DJs, installations, nail art, a pool to splash around in, BBQ and a live performance by DENT MAY (Paw Tracks)!  Hash tag it like this: #NADAPOOLPARTY #BEACHPAINTINGCLUB #SWIMMINGAROUNDINART #FUNNNNNNN Full info about the event is here.

Then on Saturday come by what is sure to be one of your new favorite hangs in Wynwood – GRAMPS!  Their “Art Basel Blowout” is co-presented by Panache Booking and features Jonathan Toubin’s soul-clap and dance-off, Dent (again – yay!) and so much more.  NO COVER!

Then on Sunday is the symphonic Zelda performance at the Arsht Center.  Or you can just pass out.  Either way, happy Basel-ing!
