Since the very beginning of Sweat Records in 2005, we’ve been letting you know about all the worthwhile happenings and shows around town via our email newsletter and 24/7 at our EVENTS page. The page gets thousands of hits a week and is irrefutable proof of how much there is to do in South Florida.
We add a lot of listings ourselves but to us the coolest thing is that it’s also an open calendar for the community. In late 2009 we launched the Event-O-Matic so that bands, promoters, artists and more would be able to add their gigs.

Well we’re stoked to report that as of last week over 4,000 unique events have been submitted to Sweat’s Events page! Not only that, but we’ve made the EOM WordPress plugin available as a free download and it’s closing in on over 7,000 downloads worldwide, fielding hundreds of thousands of events around the globe.
The EOM was one of the projects we launched using funds from our Knight Arts Challenge grant. Huge thanks to the Knight Foundation for supporting our work!
