This Just In: Hurraw!, ETY•Plugs and Crosley Turntables

    posted by Emile

For all of you who’ve been asking, we just got in new shipments of Hurraw!, ETY•Plugs and Crosley turntables. For those of you asking “what the hell are those?,” here’s some info…

    Hurraw! Vegan Lip Balm:
This is the best lip balm we’ve ever tried – and it’s raw, vegan, fair trade, un-sticky and all-around amazing. It also fits nicely in a pocket and won’t melt while hanging out in there. Here are the great varieties we currently have in stock: Almond; Black Cherry (tinted); Chai Spice; Coffee; Mint; Root Beer; Sun Protection (SPF 15) and Vanilla. This time of year, Hurraw! also makes an awesome stocking stuffer…

    ETY•Plugs:
Something else we’re completely in love with (and can’t seem to keep on the shelves) are ETY•Plugs (formerly Earloves). Actually, we love them so much that we got some Sweat-branded packaging. Forget those crappy earplugs that just muffle out sound, these are “configured to replicate the natural response of the ear canal so that when sound enters the earplug, it is reproduced unchanged, exactly the same as the ear would hear it, only quieter.” With two size variations available, you can protect your hearing and still hear every nuance at even the loudest of loud events – awesome!

    Crosley Turntables:
We’ve got a smattering of selections from Crosley’s Turntable line. Their designs range from vintage to modern and are USB-compatible, making it easy to rip analog to digital. They’re great space-saving setups and excellent starter pieces for blossoming vinyl enthusiasts.

UK Dubstep Pioneers HATCHA, N-TYPE & MC CRAZY D Get Low at The Vagabond Thursday

    posted by Jsin

Thursday, December 1st (((SHAKE))) makes Art Bassel to GET LOW with a showcase featuring some of the original dons of dubstep. Please just ignore Korn (not that you weren’t already), for the sake of accuracy. HATCHA and N-TYPE are taking over North America with MC CRAZY D in support of their wicked Sin City label. Miami is the first stop and they’ll be throwing down at their 305 home, The Vagabond. This time they’ll be on stage going back to back on 4 decks for something Miami’s never seen!

Hatcha has a weekly show on Kiss FM with Crazy D, was essential in the development of the dubstep sound, and was even nominated for The Greatest DJ of All Time by Mixmag.

Rinse FM staple N-Type has won Best DJ multiple times in the Dubstep Forum Awards, and he’s coming back to GET LOW to show you why.

They’re joined in the arena GET LOW residents JUAN BASSHEAD, who’s played multiple Sin City showcases at London’s Fabric nightclub, MC JUMANJI & NOME. This free new mix by ANIMAL KRACKERZ aka AMKZ will help you get a feel for how the night will begin.

(((SHAKE))) residents A-TRAIN and ROB RIGGS return to the bar room, and the patio will feature radical beats by GOODDROID, TWO WAY, and Metro Zu’s LOFTY. Get your tickets for this huge show. Do your job.

Critical Mass + BIKE SMUT This Friday!

    posted by Lolo

This Friday at The Vagabond, we welcome everyone coming from the monthly Critical Mass bike ride! Not only that, but we’re super stoked (spoked?) to present the Miami stop of the traveling BIKE SMUT Film Festival!

Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like: bicycle-centric erotic short films.  Bike Smut’s Orgasm Trail is a choose-your-own-adventure-style night of racy (!) movies and we’ll be screening it in the back patio starting at 10pm.  Doors open early at 9pm, there’s secure bike parking, Mo’s smokeout BBQ, and no cover and $1 Stella drafts ’til 11.  Tell your friends and ride out!
