Save The Date: OH, JACK! 10/29/11

If there’s one holiday Miami does right, it’s Halloween.  For the last four years Supermarket Creative has put on a really incredible all-out theme party.  Last year Sweat was a part of “Gatsby Gone Goth” at The Raleigh Hotel.  Parallels played live, the costumes were amazing, and a good time was had by all.

This year’s event is Oh, Jack – Jack The Ripper, that is – a Victorian/steampunk* themed party that’s going down at Dream Hotel on Saturday, October 29th. Expect drink specials, costumes galore, and not only that but PENGUIN PRISON is going to be making his Miami debut on the decks!  Early bird tickets are just $20 (a bargain for the Beach) so get one while you can.

All costumes are welcome of course, but we recommend Wynwood’s STASH Wardrobe Rental if you’re looking for something extra special.  Mention OH, JACK and receive 10% off.

*Steampunk style as defined by Wiki: Steampunk fashion has no set guidelines, but tends to synthesize modern styles influenced by the Victorian era. This may include gowns, corsets, petticoats and bustles; suits with vests, coats and spats; or military-inspired garments. Steampunk-influenced outfits will often be accented with a mixture of technological and period accessories: timepieces, parasols, goggles, and ray guns. Modern accessories like cell phones or music players can be found in steampunk outfits, after being modified to give them the appearance of Victorian-made objects. Aspects of steampunk fashion have been anticipated by mainstream high fashion, the Lolita fashion and aristocrat styles, neo-Victorianism, and the romantic goth subculture.
