After years of work, a Knight grant and some serious construction, the non-profit LegalArt Residency is up and running!  It’s an amazing asset, a place where artists can live and work in a subsidized space, freeing them up to create more art.

This Thursday night come out for PRIVATE EYE, their first event there!  For just a $30 donation, come out for a lovely evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, tours of the artists’ studios, a performance by Clifton Childree, and tunes by yours truly and DJ Hottpants.

There’s also an auction for several different nifty “artist excursions”, and if you’re an art collector (or trying to start!), for a $150 donation you get an original work of art by one of the residents, and there’s some serious talent there!  Full info is on the LegalArt site, and the after-party is at (((SHAKE))) at The Vagabond.

    Sunday, 1/28 @ Deja Vu Audio South: Classic Album Sundays takes a field trip to Deja Vu HQ in Wynwood to hear the album of the month – Steely Dan’s Aja – on reel-to-reel from an original safety master! We’ll be warming up with Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours on vinyl. 5-8pm, tickets available now.
