Tons of wax for your ears – new releases, reissues and restocks. Here’s a smattering:

New: Destroyer – Kaputt 2LP
Dan Bejar (New Pornographers, Swan Lake) returns with his 9th album as Destroyer. Some have claimed this is his most accessible to date – songs with a steadier vocal approach and sleazy, “smooth jazz” horns throughout. Yes, the record is gorgeous, but the underlying harsh social, political and existential themes of the Destroyer project can’t be subdued. As Bejar said himself in a recent interview with Prefix, “Destroyer music is always unsatisfied with the state of things, even if Dan Bejar is cool with the world.”

New: Sic Alps – Napa Asylum 2LP
“Sic again! The new album showcases musical modes featuring lyrical ruminances on reincarnation, magic and schizophrenia. Tubes are hissing, cheap gear is burning brightly — twenty-two songs are reverberating in the tank.” –Drag City

Reissue: Spiritualized – Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space 180g 2LP
It’s been described as “a psychedelic gospel album full of confessional songs about heartbreak and drug abuse; a flat out masterpiece.” Seriously, folks – if you’ve never heard this, it’s time. And if you already know and love it, audiophile vinyl is a way to experience it on a new level.

Restock: Wu-Tang Clan – Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Debut album of the definitive hardcore hip-hop supergroup – absolutely essential. There’s a reason we can’t ever seem to keep this one in stock. But if you don’t know why, picking up a copy is a surefire way to find out.

And… there’s bunches more, including:

A Tribe Called Quest – Midnight Marauders LP; Anthology 2LP
