posted by LoloAttention all unsigned artists! The Florida Chapter of the Recording Academy has a call out for entries for their 2010 Florida Grammy Showcase. From their site:
“Six finalists will win the opportunity to perform live on a special opening night of the FMF2010 in front of an audience of music industry community at The Social in downtown Orlando. Florida Grammy Showcase finalists will compete for artist development prize packages worth more than $25,000.”
Last year’s winner, ArtOfficial, copped a ton of swag like gift certificates for gear, custom banners, production software, a consultation with William Morris, studio time at the Hit Factory and more.

The movie tackles the dangers of our current unsustainable level of fishing (ie scientists predicting a global end to seafood by 2048). It has been seen by hundreds of thousands worldwide and is accompanied by a campaign promoting the responsible use of our ocean’s resources. 21Rachel Goodrich Video Contest WINNER(S)
posted by LoloFirst off, sorry for the delay. The event itself Saturday night was a bit overwhelming as it was the single most packed event we’ve ever had at the store. It was also ridiculously hard to choose a winner so thank you all for giving us and Rachel a break.
Second, we’d like to thank each and every filmmaker who participated in this contest. We received 37 entries from all over the world and even better than getting all these great videos was that nearly every email we received told of how much fun was had making them. On to what you’ve been waiting for…
CONGRATS to polyethyleneguy, Lucas Leyva and frorojas1 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize, respectively! We (Rachel + Sweat) will be awarding cash to all three entries and are even pitching in extra because they were all great in their own ways and we think all were worthy of praise, YouTube hits, cash money and love.
