Weekend Wrap-Up

As you probably know by now, The 7th Annual ’80s Prom is tonight!  We’ve already got over 350 RSVPs and have an absolutely amazing night in store for you so we hope to see all of you dressed up in your cheesiest ’80s splendor at The Vagabond tonight!

Sweat will be closing today at 5pm and will be closed all day for Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving night, bring two cans of food to (((SHAKE))) to support Feeding South Florida and get in free!

We open Friday at noon and are offering 10% off the whole damn store for Black Friday!  (Please check out our blog post about Black Friday, The 3/50 Project and the importance of supporting local businesses this holiday season.)

Later that night we’ve got a great Fridays at The Vagabond with live performances by Tristan & The Juice and Sam Friend!

Then Saturday is the highly-anticipated Borscht Film Festival – an amazing, local-centric yearly event highlighting the new wave of serious filmmakers in the 305.  Check out their website and head to the Gusman Theater Saturday night, you’ll be glad you did.

Last but definitely not least, Monday evening is the announcement ceremony for the 2009 Knight Arts Challenge.  Sweat Records is one of 45 finalists out of over 1500 entries and the 20 or so winners will receive funding to promote the arts and culture in South Florida.  It’s pretty major so cross your fingers for us!

Have fun and relaxing Thanksgiving weekends everyone.
