☆ TONIGHT – a Sweat favorite for sure – MORRISSEY performs live at the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater!! Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster and there are after-parties happening at the fun new Apartment 407 party at Abraxas and Upstairs at Set. See you there!!
☆ Tomorrow is the start of the 24th incredible MIAMI BOOK FAIR INTERNATIONAL!! We are so lucky to have an event like this in our city so go check it out. There’s a million things to do/see/read about and all the info is at www.miamibookfair.com
☆ MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19th @ STUDIO A: MELT BANANA perform live with 2 of South Florida’s best and most-renowned acts – TORCHE and OTTO VON SCHIRACH!! DJing between bands will be R. Grimes, Kentsoundz, and yours truly. Don’t forget your earplugs…
☆ WEDNEDAY, NOVEMBER 21st @ CIRCA28: THE 5th ANNUAL ’80s PROM!! I’ve been throwing this theme party every year and every year it gets better!! This year we’ve got OUTEREACH as our “prom band” playing a set of ’80s covers, DJs Ray Milian, Alex Caso, DJ Hottpants and the returning DENNIS M spin ’80s hits all night, we’ve got the prom punch, the chaperones, decorations, and a photo booth as always. Also this year for this first time prom is FREE!! As we say, dress sharp and tease your hair!!
And last but definitely not least…
☆ Sweat Records and Circa Saturdays are happy to announce that we’re bringing you THE BLACK KIDS live on Saturday, November 24th!!!!!! If you haven’t heard of this band yet you gotta look ‘em up, they pretty much blew everyone away during CMJ and are getting huge!! Their website has their entire “Wizard of Ahhhs” EP available to download for free so hit it up and dig their dreamy new wave indie rock. And like all Circa Saturdays, this show will be free, because we love you.
